Radiological Worker
This course provides trainees with an introduction to Radiologically contaminated sites. The requirements for both unescorted entry into areas controlled for radiological purposes and for the clean-up of radiologically contaminated sites are covered. The trainee is instructed on the basic of radiological theory and fundamentals, as well as the terms workers must know to work safely around radiological hazards. Topics covered include Nuclear Energy, Biological Effects, ALARA Program, Radiological Posting, PPE, Detection Instruments.
