Along with our Safety TrainingPrograms and Online Safety Training we offer Scaffold and Scaffold Equipment Rental to companies and organizations, whether in the private or public sector.

Scaffold Equipment We Have

We provide tube & coupler scaffold, system scaffold, and basic frame scaffold rental. Scaffold Rental - Scaffold Equipment Rental Working on square or rectangular structures and facades?  METI now rents frame scaffolding, which is easy to erect with minimal skill, offering smooth and efficient erection times. At METI’s Sydney campus, we carry two types of frame scaffolding: Arch Frame which is also known as masonry frame, because it is very popular in the brick laying industry, and Square End Frame. Our frame scaffolding is compatible with guardrail systems, which we also have in stock. Our tube and coupler components are compatible with our frame scaffolding, with tie-ins, and work to build a means of access. The arch frames that we carry are 5 feet in width and 6’4” in height. The square end frame we supply are 5 feet in width and 5 feet in height. We also carry frame ends which are 5 feet in width but yet three feet in height, to help accommodate for elevations which are hard to meet using the standard 5-foot frames. Our frame bracing is designed to accommodate, 7 foot long bays, and 10 foot long bays. We also carry a large selection of accessories such as:
  • 8 ” castor wheels
  • Socket jacks
  • Screw jacks
  • Complete guardrail systems, coupling pins and retaining pins, steel toe-boards and automatic closure swing gates with optional toe board
  • Outriggers
  • Side-brackets

System Scaffolding Rental

System scaffolding is a heavy duty scaffolding with galvanized coating which is great to withstand our ‘salty’ east coast environment. System scaffolding is also compatible with tube and coupler, and is great for any type of industrial, commercial, or even residential construction and renovation, as it is erected with individual up-rights, horizontal members, and vertical diagonal bracing. All horizontal and vertical components come in dimensions as follows:
  • Half- meter
  • One meter
  • Meter and a half
  • 2 meter and three-meter increments
Some additional accessories that we carry for system scaffolding include:
  • Screw jacks and collars
  • Adjustable toe-board
  • Side brackets
  • Swing gate with an optional toe- board
  • Retaining pins
System scaffolding is best suited for square or rectangular structures or facades, but is also very popular for inside and outside tanks, because of its connections on the vertical members allow you to locate horizontal members at different angles. Some advantages of system scaffolding include: very easy and efficient to erect to meet that deadline you are hoping to meet, multiple connections on the vertical members allow for decking elevations to be every 20 ’’ if desired, and compatible with tube and coupler, as well as coming in different dimensions unlike frame having a set height and width.

Tube and Coupler (Clamp) Rental

Tube and coupler, also known as tube and clamp, come in increments of one foot, up to six-foot tubes, from there on, the lengths of tubes come in 2-foot increments until reaching 20 feet. The couplers we provide are set at right angles to make 90-degree connections, allowing other couplers to actually pivot around and central hinge point, allowing you to set tubes at different angles to be used as braces. Our end to end couplers allow you to connect tubes end to end, in both vertical and horizontal orientation. Tube and coupler scaffolding is the most popular for hard to access areas, irregular shaped structures and circular structures, as there are no fixed dimensions to erect. Some advantages include:
  • Light weight
  • Easy to handle
  • Can be built around any irregular shape
  • The light weight construction is also great for shipping, and freight costs
Some other accessories carried at our facility include:
  • Base plates
  • Accessory baskets
  • shipping racks made of HSS tubular steel
  • Beam clamps
  • Tube to frame clamps
  • Right angle couplers
  • Swivel couplers
  • End to end joiners
  • Spigots
  • Chicken heads
  • Starter brackets for ladders
  • 3 ‘ and 5’ non- skid ladders

Another Environmental Health & Safety Technician success story. Tim tells his story of now working in the Film and Television Industry.

“Timothy Ryan 5 years ago, I found myself at a crossroads- wondering what I would do career-wise, as the repetitive circle of what I knew- what I was comfortable with doing- was not paying the bills.
I wasn't happy.
I took the chance of enrolling in the Environmental Health and Safety Technician program.
It wasn't easy. It wasn't hard. I just put myself to the task of completing the program, and taking one day at a time, one class at a time.
Believe me, I never have excelled at school, that's for sure.
The instructors of this program were all genuine, good hearted people. They were all Industry professionals who took the time to help myself and fellow classmates, as at times, we all needed it.

After graduating, no, this program did not "get me a job".
What it did do, was give me the skills, certifications, and attitude necessary for success.
Having employable skills, and certifications gives you a competitive edge over anyone else.

Upon completion of the program, I found almost instant employment with one of North America's leading health and safety companies. This job not only opened doors for me but let me see the infinite possibilities available to someone like myself, with employable skills and training.

Then... I watched the oil and gas industry fall apart. The economy crumbles.
Did I go down without a fight? Absolutely not. I adapted.
I found myself now working high rise tower construction in Vancouver, British Columbia. I purchased my first new vehicle. A high-end luxury 4x4. Things were finally happening for me.
With employable skills and certifications, I quickly picked up on new trades and opportunities, I found myself once again stepping out of my comfort zone- and sent an application into a union for something I never would have even dreamt of doing 5 years ago- the Film and Television Industry.
Fast forward to today- I am now a full union member of IATSE Local 891 in Burnaby BC as a rigger. (Rigging Grip). My day consists of building staging, scaffolding, operating on-set equipment in a safe and professional manner, ariel platform use and operation, pretty much everything camera and lighting related. I have worked directly with A-list celebrity talent, and have worked major feature films for Warner Bros, Universal Pictures, Paramount, and Netflix to name a few.
Every day I use skills learned at METI, throughout my years in the Oil and Gas industry, and the construction industry.
I am now employed not only in a generous 6 figure career, but a career I love.
I look forward to going to work.

I owe a huge part of my success, to the team at METI, as well as Mr. Joe Pembroke for giving me an opportunity to take ahold of my life- and my career. Thank you.

No, this program will not "get you a job".
It will provide some skills- so you can get your SELF a job. None of my success came easy. I worked for it. And so, can you...

Thanks again METI. I’ve been meaning to update you all of what I’ve been up to since we last spoke. I’ll try and pop into the school and say hi this June.”
