Foreman Preparedness Training

A foreman supervises and directs the work of others.  With METI’s Foreman Preparedness Training, you will train to become the person in charge of a particular department, group of workers, etc. A foreman typically occupies the first supervisory tier, ranking above workers but below managers. The job title is most often found in the construction, manufacturing, oil and gas, and repair industries. Effective foremen liaisons are among management, supervision and the workers, are required in every industry.  Successful completion of Foreman Preparedness Training will prepare you for a role in industry as a Foreman. Exact duties of the foreman depend on the industry involved, the employer and the foreman’s training or experience. However, regardless of other factors, the job of foreman typically requires certain basic duties, such as: Coordinate Employee Activities Handle Personnel Functions Act as Safety Coordinators Track inventory and initiate requisitions for needed parts or supplies Prepare progress or production reports Schedule downtime for routine maintenance Provide estimates on production output
