METI is an occupational safety training facility on Cape Breton Island, sitting in the middle of historic downtown Sydney, Nova Scotia. We are the hub of Eastern Nova Scotia, the gateway to Newfoundland, and offer an ideal setting for facility rental.
We can accommodate business meetings, training sessions, seminars or whatever your organization requires. METI’s facility rental includes our computer lab, 9 classrooms, boardroom, training yard and simulated confined space, fall protection, hazardous waste and high angle rescue facilities. The campus consists of two buildings, providing 29,900 square feet combined, while METI occupies 18,000, and a modern training yard measuring 2.5 acres, making it an ideal setting.

We can book from 1 –20 fully up to date computers with the newest version of Microsoft which includes Word, Power Point, Publisher, and Spread Sheets, the latest anti-virus protection, and print capability.
Our lab features a data/video projector unit, hi-speed internet access with wi-fi and whiteboard, an air-regulated room for assured comfort. METI staff is available for assistance if needed.
